Hi, so I've encountered a really strange bug lately (started about a week ago) in Zabbix 1.8.3. On a weekend day overnight, when nothing had been changed for at least a few days, I started getting extra e-mails and SMS alerts with "*UNKNOWN*" in the message body. I tried some DB maintenance, disabling/re-enabling triggers/actions/items, etc, but nothing has removed the extra mails.
I then realized that the emails were being sent every time a trigger was fired. Normally, mail/SMS alerts are only sent based on conditions set in an Action, based off of these triggers. These still work. But now I also get an email every time any Trigger with a high enough severity is fired. This is infuriating! Several of our Actions are set to wait for n seconds before sending an alert (e.g. don't send me a "host is unreachable" alert for a few minutes if I'm bouncing a server, just send the "host was restarted" alert). But now literally every "Average" or "High" severity event fires off an e-mail alert. I don't think there is even a setting to change here since this just...isn't supposed to happen.
Has anybody seen this before? Any ideas on how I can get this fixed? I'd like to avoid a full recompile if possible... Thanks!
