So I've been looking at system stats and noticed that on a normal day with discovery off, my disk utilization used so sit very high, around 97-98%(via iostat).
I then tuned the mysql DB, told it to use most of the ram in the machine. I told mysql to use 12GB out of the 16GB available on the machine, but once I raised that up to 12GB, disk utilization dropped significantly, to around 1%-2%.
However, when I turn auto-discovery on, it all of a sudden jumps back up and sits around 98% all of the time.
