I took the Linux NFS V3 scripts and fixed then to segregate out the metrics by Server, Client, NFS, and RPC. This is working, but I need help on understanding the delay component of the XML template. I am sampling every 5 minutes. Does this need to be 300 instead of 30?
I will create the other NFS versions after I get some performance analysis done at work, so this is complete. Had a little problem getting metrics from China so I had to fix it to support ssh to pull the metrics remotely.
Have to fix NET::SSH to compile on Mac OS X snow leopard to clean up the shoddy ssh hack.
I want to pull in the NFS statistics from "iostat -n" command. Anyone write a good perl parser script in general? I will evaluate Test::Parser::iostat later.
I was a deployment Engineer for ProactiveNet/BMC and am pretty happy with what I am finding. Just the documentation has some major flaws.
When you use the wizard to create the XML items, it would be nice to know what all the components of the items do. Haven't found a full definition yet.
Anyone there in development have something?
