    SNMP sample timer

    Hopefully an easy question...

When Zabbix gathers data from an SNMP counter and stores it as a rate, does it always divide the counter difference by the sample timer or does it use the actual time between samples as the divisor?

i.e. If I have an input counter that I'm reading and it's set to read every 30 seconds, but due to a busy Zabbix server it actually takes 35 seconds; does it divide the number of bytes difference by 30 or 35 before it stores the value? (I realize that it can't compensate for the difference between when the SNMP device generates the data and when the Zabbix server receives it).

    Thanks,
    Brad
