Media time is not being honored after first escalation passes

Has anyone noticed that all medias with time restrictions are not being re-evaluated AFTER the first escalation passes.

After 2 years using Zabbix, we hit this for the first time last night (at least it was never noticed before). We had an trigger trip last night at 23:49:54...and our actions are setup for 5 minute escalations, skipping the first notification (to help with false positives). This means the first media notification attempted was 23:59:54 and all the email/page media types we have are set for 1-7;00:00-23:59 (per the docs [never tested 24:00]). Because of this, the first event notifications were skipped with "no media defined for user". Fine, I understand this, because of how our media time window is set. But the subsequent escalation also says the same thing, "no media defined for user". This leads me to believe that Zabbix is not re-evaluating the users media time window after the first escalation hit. As a result we missed some alerts last night; not really a big deal this time but if it was something major and the person on call didn't bother to check the triggers page we could miss a major outage over the weekend.

I tried searching the open/closed bugs on the support page and the forums for something similar but I couldn't find anything. Has anyone else seen this?

By the way we are using 1.8.3 (I know, its old, just have a lot of customizations in place I don't feel like porting over until 2.0 is released)

My next stop is the release notes to see if there is a similar 'bug' thats been fixed.
Working...
