    SNMP Traps

    Hello,

    i am new to Zabbix (2.0.1) and try to complete our test environment.

    Right now I am struggling with SMTP Traps. snmptrapd and snmptt is running.
    There is only one event configured in snmtt.conf. In order to get all information we will add the $+* variable.
    ---------------------------------------
    EVENT general .* "General event" Normal
    FORMAT ZBXTRAP $aA $+*
    ---------------------------------------
    This results in logfile (/var/log/snmptt/snmptt.log) entrys like this (open printer cover):
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    13:48:12 2013/01/17 .1.3.6.1.4.1.1536.2.3.1.0.1 Normal "General event" xx.xx.xx.xx - ZBXTRAP xx.xx.xx.xx .1.3.6.1.4.1.1536.1.3.2.1.1.1:1 .1.3.6.1.4.1.1536.1.3.2.1.9.1:3 .1.3.6.1.4.1.1536.1.3.2.1.10.1:00 34 .1.3.6.1.4.1.1536.1.3.2.1.11.1:CoverOpen
    --------------------------------------------------------------

    I modify the server.conf:
    StartSNMPTrapper=1
    SNMPTrapperFile=/var/log/snmptt/snmptt.log

    So far so good. But I do not know how to create an item that works for us. I try different variants without success. We need an (template-) item that simply assign the complete line from the logfile to the host (in this case the printer with the IP xx.xx.xx.xx).

    We would be happy if anybody can help us.

    Many thanks.
