I am going to monitor Foundry Modular Switches. Normal switches have been monitored perfectly. I am facing the problem about defining generic OID to monitor the ethernet ports of Modular Switches because there format is as under.
GigabitEthernet1/1
GigabitEthernet1/2
GigabitEthernet1/3
GigabitEthernet2/1
GigabitEthernet2/1
if it is a simple switch then for its ports i have define these given OIDs like
Ethernet Port on unit 1, port:1 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1
Ethernet Port on unit 1, port:2 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.2
Please help me in this regard.
What i should do for monitoring.
