First of all I am new to Zabbix therefore sorry if my question is trivial.
I have set up a Zabbix server in the Cloud. I have an Agent on my PC where outbound connection is permitted only. I have followed docs plus various online forums to configure the agent (agent active only). I have applied Template OS Windows to host. In the monitoring dashboard I can see the host metrics indeed. Thereafter as a test I have shut down the agent but it is like nothing happen because I still can see everything as if the agent ran; like e.g. the Agent ping Up. What am I missing? How can I see if my machine's agent is down? How can the server collect metrics if the agent is down?
