Zabbix discovery behaving intermittently, do lists of IP masks work?

    Hi,

I'm running Zabbix 2.2.4 in a QA lab, with discovery configured to find new hosts' zabbix agents, create them, add them to groups, link templates, etc. It was working OK for some time.

Next, I've got more hosts to discover on new networks. So, more discovery rules are needed, ideally using masked IP addresses, like so:

    IP range: 10.68.0.0/20,10.68.16.0/20,10.70.0.0/21

The documentation seems to indicate this is supported:

However, discovery starts behaving inconsistently and/or failing as soon as I configure a comma-separated list of masked IPs in a discovery rule. I notice discovery has stopped, because I have a debug action that sends an email for each and every discovery. Also, changing the rule alone does not restore discovery. Changing the list back to a single masked IP, ip range, or single address, then RESTARTING the zabbix server seems to get discovery back in a good state. I've disabled all other discovery rules to isolate this.

However, I'd really like to use a comma separated list of IP masks in a discovery rule, because it is tidy. Are there known problems with giving a discovery rule a comma separated list in zabbix 2.2.4?

    Thanks,
