Hi list,
the zabbix-agent is installed via aptitude. Means version 1:2.2.2+dfsg-1ubuntu1 and that is zabbix 2.2.2. If the agent is active I see zombies:
23865 ? Zs 0:00 [mysqld] <defunct>
24024 ? Z 0:00 [sshd] <defunct>
24111 ? Z 0:00 [sshd] <defunct>
Another host which is 14.04 as well (but without an agent) shows no defunct processes. After removing the agent everything is fine again.
The server is quite old (1.8.11) due to an old 12.04 installation. Other clients which run mostly older Ubuntu or Debian versions are not affected.
Oh, those are all VMs running on Xen except the zabbix server. Might be an Ubuntu 14.04 + xenserver 6.2 kinda problem though.
Any hints?
Cheers,
zap
