    Install Zabbix Vmware

    Hi All,

I am attempting to install the Zabbix appliance into our vmware environment, it mentions in the user manual that the vmware version is specific for Workstation, Player and Server but not ESXI and needs reconfiguration to work with ESXi.

I have download vmware converter extracted the vmx and vmdk files and attempted to reconfigure however I get the below error

Name:	2020-11-30 11_36_05-Window.png
Views:	3817
Size:	30.8 KB
ID:	414203

Reconfiguration is not supported for the selected source.

Attempting to manually upload the VMX and VMDK have also been unsuccessful as attempting to register and power on the VM gives a warning that it is unsupported.
    - Device 'Hard disk 1' has a backing type that is not supported. This is a general limitation of the virtual machine's virtual hardware version on the selected host.
    - Failed to open disk scsi0:0: Unsupported and/or invalid disk type 7. Did you forget to import the disk first? Unable to create virtual SCSI device for scsi0:0, '/vmfs/volumes/<volume_id>/Zabbix_<version>.vmdk' Module DevicePowerOn power on failed.

Can anyone Assit with what's needed to get the appliance working with ESXi.

I have also attempted the OVF deployment but this has also failed with the following error when attempting to import
    -1:-1:VALUE_ILLEGAL: No supported hardware versions among [virtualbox-2.2]; supported: [vmx-04, vmx-07, vmx-08, vmx-09, vmx-10, vmx-11, vmx-12, vmx-13, vmx-14, vmx-15].

my guess is the OVF is virtualbox and not supported importing to vmware.

Ideally would prefer the VMX to work but not sure what I need to do to get it working.

I can fallback to installing a flavour of linux however would prefer this as appliance based if possible.

    Any help is appreciated.
