Problem: I tried linking Zabbix templates to FS switches. The monitoring fails as most of the items throw the "Value has unknown type 0x05". I don't get this error on any other devices. These switches are monitored by a Zabbix Proxy that monitors other hosts without any problems.
Troubleshooting: I reconfigured SNMP on the switches. I tried all the SNMP versions. Tried new templates. Tried deleting/creating/cloning these hosts.
I can perform snmp requests using the Linux snmp-tools and I get no errors. I even checked the wireshark capture between the proxy and the problematic switches. It revealed no errors or problems.
Logs: there is nothing related to this particular item error on the logs from the proxy and on the logs from the server.
Help: Does anybody have an idea that might explain this error?
