Hi,
I've done a bit of trawling on this one and found most of you say Zabbix didn't like a mismatch between the hostname assigned in zabbix_agentd.conf and the hostname the server is looking for. However, mine went a little differently.
I had this for a string of about ten windows machines I installed Zabbix Agent on. I double checked the hostname I set (which matched the one on the server and was exactly what I typed in to remote log in...), then removed it (as the conf file can take it from the BIOS settings) and double checked the firewall settings. Despite the changes, I kept getting a specific version of the title in both server and agent logs.
It turned out that the set-up wasn't happy until I defined the hostname as "hostname.domain" in zabbix_agentd.conf. Has anyone else come across this or is my particular set-up being an especially delicate little flower?
