HI,
I've deleted a Windows host because was added using as name its IP address, so I've deleted it expeting that it was discovered and re-added again.
But It wasn't. It's been 9 hours now.
I have the the following rule:
- Update interval: 1h
- Checkes
- ICMP
- SNMPv2 agent 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.1.0
- SNMPv2 agent 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0
- Device uniquiness criteria: SNMPv2 agent 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0
- Host name: SNMPv2 agent 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0
- Visible name: SNMPv2 agent 1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0
And 2 actions rules both for Windows and for Linux:
Conditions:
- Discovery rule equals MainRule
- Received value contains Windows
- Discovery status equals Discovered
- Service type equals SNMPv2
Operations:
Add to host groups: Windows servers
Link to templates: Template OS Windows SNMP
The another discovery action is identical but for Linux with the obvious replacements
Am I doing something wrong? Why was it not that host discovered again? How long it takes a discovery (I have around 100 hosts)?
Thanks in advance
