I am monitoring the UP state of a switch by checking the SNMP status
Item: zabbix[host,snmp,available]
Trigger: max(/switch123/zabbix[host,snmp,available],#5)<1
Yesterday, the switch was unavailable (OFF) but zabbix was reporting SNMP(UP) for this specific item.
All other monitoring itens based on SNMP where not collecting data during this outage period, which proves that SNMP was OFF, but the zabbix[host,snmp,available] reported UP during this time. Why?
