I’ve developed a script to extract Zabbix templates and store them in a Git repository. However, I recently encountered an issue when exporting a template that is linked to another template. For example, if I have a custom template, My Own Linux Template, which is linked to the Linux by Zabbix agent active template, I noticed that the export includes the macros but not the filters I’ve added in a low-level discovery (LLD) rule.
In my case, I’ve added specific filters in the LLD rule and created macros within the template to pass those values to the filters. Unfortunately, while the macros are exported correctly, the LLD filters are missing in the exported template file. This leads to an incomplete export and makes it challenging to manage these templates in version control.
Has anyone encountered this issue before, or is there a recommended workaround to ensure a complete export, including the LLD filters? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
