Hi,
we are addressing a specific issue in the discovery rule. I have a simple rule that traverses a network segment (254 addresses) and the condition is binding to the OID through the SNMPv1 agent - the oid is "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0".
Subsequently, the hostname and visible name are taken based on the DNS record.
In the rules, I only define which hostgroup the guest comes to, which template it assigns and which tags it defines.
But sometimes the whole discovery rule "goes crazy" and it puts countless interfaces under one guest...
Did anyone solve a similar problem?
I don't want discovery only for ping, because there are also printers in that subnet that I don't care about (single-purpose label printers, etc.).
I have a feeling that this was not happening in Zabbix 6.4
Thanks, Roman
