Three months ago we upgraded our Zabbix server and proxies from 6.0 to 7.0.4. We paid the engineers at Zabbix to perform this upgrade. Recently we have had issues where our Zabbix server stops running. When I remote into the server I see the Zabbix server service has been stopped and seems to be in the process of stopping, hung. If I try to restart the server it hangs during restart on stopping the Zabbix server job. I have to physically power cycle the server and then everything will resume working. The system is running Ubuntu Server 24.04 and I initially thought this may be the automatic updates so I disabled unattended-upgrades. However this same scenario has occurred multiple times since every 5 to 10 days.
HERE IS THE REALLY ODD PART,,,, When this happens to the server, usually at least two of the proxies are in the same state. And it isn't the same proxies each time. So I ahve to force restart the server and then check which proxies are offline and do the same for them.
