Here's a strange issue. I have been working on it this morning and searching around hasn't turned up much useful info. Zabbix server version 3.2, is running on Ubuntu Server 14.04.
I have a handful of webchecks set up that have been working great for a few years, adding some here and there. This morning, three of these webchecks starting failing sporadically. One is an original one from when I first set it up, the other two are more recent.
When I get a failure, I can still access the webpage in a browser, I can curl the webpage from a different Ubuntu VM, but from the zabbix server itself, I get an error when I curl the webpage, "(35) Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to <website>". This seems strange as our SSL should be up to spec, I don't see any issues with the certs, and the problem will eventually end, at which point I can curl the page just fine.
Any leads on this would be great, I didn't make any changes either to the websites or the Zabbix server in the time leading up to this issue so I'm at a bit of a loss.
thanks.
