I have an item:
Description: SERV.telnet
Type: Simple Check
Key: tcp,23
Type of information: Numeric (float)
and a trigger:
Name: {HOSTNAME} SERV telnet down
Expression: {Standalone_t:tcp,23.max(250)}<1
This trigger should warn us if the telnet connection is down for more than 250 seconds.
However, since last week we have a problem that one of the connections has been down and we received no warning. The problem is that the item value is 2, and not 0 to indicate down. As such the trigger is not triggered.
Restarting the zabbix server: no solution
Cleaning the history: no solution
Installing zabbix 1.1.6: no solution
Any more ideas?
Thanks,
Geert
FYI: I also logged this in the sourceforge bugs
