Hello everyone,
My boss was just asking me why our DS3 link (which is, supposedly 44.736 Mbps but we normally round it up and say it as 45mbps) monitoring on zabbix shows that we had a max of 45.62 Mbps when the capacity of our link is only 44.736 Mbps?
Looking back at 1 week's worth of data, we even got a max of 46.2 Mbps.
Why is that? Anyone have any explanation?
Is Zabbix doing any "data massaging" or any calculation that might skew the numbers? Or is my zabbix settings wrong? I have Units as BPS and custom multiplier as 8.
We are polling on a router, that connects directly to the telco SDH equipment on coaxial .
Thanks.
