Can't get zabbix-server to start.....1.4.2

[Rick-CK-STL]

New install.
Fresh Ubuntu 7.04 server running in a VM. I followed the instructions from
http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/doku.php?...:ubuntuinstall
No errors during the install all seems to look good, GUI works, database looks good. BUT, I can not get the zabbix-server to start. I checked /tmp and var/tmp for the pid and log file but I get nothing.

Any thoughts?

Update:
I did a
su zabbix
password
/home/zabbix/zabbix-1.4.2/zabbix_server
and it started.
How do I get it to start from /etc/init.d/zabbix-server?
