hi all,
iam using zabbix_agent-1.4.2-1_installer.zip (found it somewhere on forum) and have installed it on 20 win2k3 servers till know. for some reason, all my muc hosts do not update "status" even if host is clearly unreachable. for my african hosts its working. i am using active checks for all other items then "status".
Status is defined like described now:
Description: "Host status"
Type: "zabbix agent"
Type of information: "Numeric (int 64..)"
key: "status"
Units: "none"
Use multiplier: "do not use"
Update interval: "60"
History/Trends: "7/90"
Status: "active"
Store value: "as is"
Show value throw map: "Host status"
Applications: "Availability"
i can telnet the agentd, zabbix server doesnt show any errors. how do i test if its working via telnet?
qx56451@cmtadb1:~/>telnet moekvs01.muc 10050
Trying xx.xx.xx.xx...
Connected to moekvs01.muc.
Escape character is '^]'.
<key>status</key>
ZBXDZBX_NOTSUPPORTEDConnection closed by foreign host.
this should be the wrong way.. args help please i have to figure this out.
Yours,
Marc
