I just did an install of 1.1alpha7 (the interface is much improved over 1.0!) and tried adding my local workstation where I installed everything to test. I am not understanding this part of the configuration, which I think should be easy, because after I put everything in and it shows my host as green monitored, nothing shows up in the availability report, none of the host pull-downs, the overview, the latest data, etc.
Perhaps it is because I do not understand what some of the host configuration parameters are. For example, what is the Groups option with the checkbox for "Templates" as the only choice? Why is it that every host I create becomes a template?
I just need to get over this hurdle and then I'll know how to use this!
