Puttin the Zzzz's back in your sleep...
Although when you really think about it... Zabbix is really meant to disturb your sleep by sending you an alert knowing something went wonky right when you're having a great dream...

"Zabbix. I sleep well."

... as long as you have gray shirts available, it's all good. :)
But since we are it... I expect 5 free T-shirts or 1 year free Platinum Support (whichever is cheaper) for the below winning design!
First screenshot is the back of the shirt. Logo = 8" across
Second screenshot is the front of the shirt. Design on the left side of the chest and a tasteful 4" x 6" "graph". (My freehand sucks - make "Zabbix" more symetrical in the graph)
Ok. I'm sure my above entry is the winner... but just in case, here are 2 more submissions to fall back on. :)
Alright... seriously now. I like this one the best.
First pic is the front, second is the back.

Somebody had to step it up... y'all were just supplying corny mottos. :)
If I could figure out a way to put this on a t-shirt with a cocky Italian accent, I'd do it - "Zabbix - yeah, I got yer metrics right here"
Probably only US people will get that one. :)

I hope to have a mockup of an idea which will give tchjts1 a run for his money shortly... :D

Well, I have just been playing around. Maybe I need to turn it up a notch. I have it on good word that this one is a favorite among some of the Zabbix staff...

so... will the mockup materialise anytime soon ? ;)

sorry... work has been keeping me very busy... this weekend took the cake however when our LDAP server decided to completely forget about the posixAccounts schema... thus causing Radius to not work... and all user accounts to not work for logins.... oh and it looks like the server has been bad for a while... backups had the same problem... i think the ldap server broke... but didn't lose the "Magic Smoke" until we had to shut everything down for a building power outage....
Or should that be: zzzzzzZabbix Network Monitoring.
this is great! :)

I definitely like this one. :-)

That is a nice looking one. Unfortunately, for me it would have to say "Certified Enthusiast". Heheh

So... Since I'm not going to have the time artistic ability to make my idea justice I'll throw it out there. Hopefully someone else can take the idea and make it, or make it better.
The basic concept is similar to tchjts1's idea of the Zabbix graph. Except a screen shot of sorts is taken of a map screen. In the center of the map is the "ZABBIX" logo. Radiating around the logo are various icons for hosts and or services. The caption is something similar to "What's in your network?", which is a take off from a well known credit card commercial in the US where the tag line was "What's in your wallet?" A phrase like "What's monitoring your network?" could also be used for markets outside North America.
There are a few things to note, and this comes from experience with making T-Shirts. Colors need to contrast with each other. It may look nice on the screen but light red and medium red are almost the same when it goes to the T-Shirt maker. Also the more colors the higher the cost. There is however a new printing technique I've heard about which has a much greater color pallet which I've heard some comic writers talk about using for their shirts.
For a 'generic' T-shirt I thought something like this:
ZABBIX ... because monitoring is needed.
So ... in front only a Zabbix logo (centered in chest) ... and in back the frase '... because monitoring is needed.'
For the 'Certified' guys I thought something more 'sober':
- in front a small Zabbix logo (left chest ... same Nelsonab one) ... in left arm a small Latvia flag ... in right arm a small flag of the country of the guy or where training session are done.

or to give it a little Slashdot flare.... "In Soviet Russia, Zabbix monitors you..."

Zabbix, you are doing it right.

No submissions allowed from Zabbix staff. ;)
Hmm, I was thinking about slogans for Zabbix.
We could use the 'GNU is Not Unix' style:
Zabbix Alerts Brainy BOFHs of Incidental eXtremities
Any other suggestions?? :D
heh... tried an online acronym builder and this is what it came up with:
Zombie-like, Abhorrant Bastard, Bringer of Insolence and Xenophobia
Not sure I'd want that on my shirt though
Hmmm....I like the idea of using trigger expressions on the t-shirt...

{me:beer.avg(24h)}<1
There's an error in that statement... Here's the correction...
{richlv:beer.avg(3600)<1}
I wonder what the remote action associated with this trigger would accomplish? :-)
