Zabbix trainer/consultant

Who you are:

  • You have a strategical thinking and you are a fan of planning. If something is going wrong you always have plan "B", "C" and even "Z".

  • You are attentive to detail and believe that "a minor problem" simply means it can be fixed quickly.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience with Zabbix.
  • Great low level knowledge of various components of Zabbix.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX-like environments, especially Linux administration.
  • Shell scripting knowledge.
  • Basic database and SQL knowledge (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Basic version control system knowledge (Subversion).
  • Fluent spoken and written English language.

C developers

  • You love Unix in all its flavors, but do not mind occasional trips to Windows without Cygwin.
  • You live on the command line. Graphical interface is nice, but optional.
  • You like the network. Making friends for your computer makes you happy.
  • You like elegant code so much you shed tears of joy when looking at it.
  • You relish doing things the right way, even if it takes more time and effort.
  • You take full responsibility for every line of code you have ever written.
  • If you are not sure how or why something works, you go and find out.
  • You have played with many programming languages other than C.
PHP developers

Who you are:

  • Programming for you is not just a job, but a hobby. You have been programming for fun for years.
  • You care deeply about Web standards. You are well acquainted with the latest technologies.
  • You care about your users. You strive to make their experience as pleasant as possible.
  • You remember about efficiency when writing in a high-level programming language.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and CSS.
  • Ability to create dynamic pages using Ajax-based technologies.
  • Experience with Javascript/AJAX libraries (JQuery).
  • At least 3 years PHP development experience.
  • Good spoken and written English language.
  • Aspiration to create a unique product.
  • Be a true team worker.
Technical support engineers

Who you are:

  • You are intent on solving customer problems even if they do not cooperate.
  • You have strong knowledge about Linux and desire to learn about other operating systems.
  • You are able to explain complex technical topics even to non-technical people - in a polite way.
  • You can fluently communicate with people in person, on the phone or in writing.
  • You love solving problems, digging to their cause and understanding all the factors. Rebooting to solve a problem is making you angry.
Test engineer

Who you are:

  • You like to find bugs in software because that gives developers more time to fix them.
  • You like automating things and do not like manually repeating same sequences over and over again.
  • Your friends tell you that you could break anything.
  • You can find faults in the most robust software.
  • You have crashed airline in-flight entertainment system. After doing so, you took photos during the bootup phase to help them analyze the root cause.
  • You want to show the world that every software has bugs.
  • You have an adequate mind that can model inadequate users.
  • You will not accept software that works, but was badly written.

At Zabbix, we like solving mathematical and algorithmic problems. We believe that being able to reason in a strict way is essential to any kind of programming activity. So we would like you to do that, too, and send us code that implements your ideas.

There are many problems out there, but we would like to offer you to solve any of the problems on Sphere Online Judge. You can submit in any programming language of your choice. If you are already using a different online judge, feel free to send us the solutions you already wrote.
