Server 3.0 compatiblity with older Agenst & Proxy?

hi,

since the good looking new 3.0 is almost out of the door, I ask what agent and proxy versions are supported with a 3.0 server.

The Documentation on https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../compatibility seems to be taken over from the 2.4 without modification, since it always mentions 2.4 on the server side.

In addition, the new secure communication between agents and servers (and proxies) isn't mentioned here.

As I understand, the situation is the following.

Zabbix Server and Zabbix Proxy should have the same major/minor version; but the release number can differ. For example, you can use any Zabbix Server v3.0.x with any Zabbix Proxy v3.0.x (but you can have compatibility problems if you use Zabbix Proxy v2.4.x or 3.2.x).

At the same time, you can use any Zabbix Agent v1.8 - 3.4 with Zabbix Server and/or Zabbix Proxy v3.0.x, as there was no changes in Zabbix Agent protocol. You can have problems with a newer Zabbix Agents v4.x, however.
Obviously, you can not use some features that appeared in a newer agents if they absent in the old ones.
