SNMP Trap Severity Mapping with Zabbix Severity.

Hi All,

Im currently working into the integration of Vmware vRealize to Zabbix. Traps are received fine into Zabbix however im currently trying to find out how we can map the severity as received by the SNMP trap to Zabbix severity - for example whenever we receive the below trap, Zabbix will raise the relevant alarm as Critical.

VMWARE-VROPS-MIB::vmwAlertCriticality.0 type=4 value=STRING: "critical"

If you can provide some pointers on how to tackle this it would be great!

You'd need to create a different trigger for each severity and inside of trigger expression add a check for severity value.

For example you make your regular trigger expression and then add

... and find(/host/key,,regexp,'VMWARE-VROPS-MIB::vmwAlertCriticality.*?STRING: "critical"')=1​

Now this trigger will only fire if severity marked as ciritcal.
