    Zabbix server is not running: the information displayed may not be current

    Hello,

    our Zabbix dashboard has reported since today:
    "Zabbix server is not running: the information displayed may not be current."

    The server (virtual machine) is running. But I think the zabbix-service have a problem.
    The status of zabbix-server.service is "activating (auto-restart)".

    I tried to stop the service an after that to start it, but then I get this notification:
    "Job for zabbix-server.service failed because the service did not take the steps required by its unit configuration. See "systemctl status zabbix-server.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.

    The database seems to be working. But the log shows that a database upgrade failed.

    Has anyone an idea, how I can solve this?
    Unfortunately, I'm not a Linux expert. So I would be grateful if you could give me exact paths and commands.

    Thank you in advanced.

    Okay, now I know what you meant.

    It worked with the mysql command:
    mysql -u USERNAME -p
    set global log_bin_trust_function_creators = 1;

    Thank you.

      you see error on last screenshot.. fix it and you should succeed... Seems like something recent as there have been many questions about same lately. Search for that same error, you should find also answers...
