    Item value in host name or action / macro

    Hi. I have trouble to understand hove correctly use keys and macro. Curently case:
    Some SNMP host, one of item its name and serial number. I watn to add s/n to name of this host. Next item is model of replaceable device what i want to use in trigger message. But, how to use the item's data in other places? Macros, after all, within the framework of a host or template use static values, as I see.

    If it is a common item for hosts, you can set it in the host inventory and refer to it in the action message with a macro. If the information depends on the trigger, you can set it in the description in the trigger settings and refer to it with a macro.

      I dont need more discovery. My discovered hosts can use hostname my snmp data. I want to add VALUES in action name, description and item name and more else. And question just about it. For example:

      One host is printer. Thay have items (name of cartridge, toner lvl, location, etc) I was create a trigger, when toner level is low. But its a color printer and i have a 4 different cartridge. Need to use in one action message all info about device, where it located, model and specific cartridge that ends.

      And add some of them it trigger name, to see on the dashboard problems panel of the same information with values from the latest data.

        Ok, small language issues here, now I see better, what you need. Atsushi is on the point here... try to populate that info about the devices to inventory and use inventory macros in your action message for additional info.
        In trigger name you can only use values of the items you use in trigger expression, ie {ITEM.VALUE<1-9>}
