Is it possible to assign tag containing, for example inventory value, for host(s) using same template? I wish to filter out hosts, via Configuration - Hosts, which are certain type, and type is detected via snmp poll, value is populated to inventory model field. I've tried to use template level tag and assing there tag: model with value {INVENTORY.MODEL} but it won't work when template is assigned to host, eventhoug value is populated to inventory itself.

Macros are resolved, when event is generated. It is not resolved in other places. So if you assign a tag in template, it will be used during event generation but not in config/host selection. -
