    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Can the proxy version be higher than the zabbix version?

      This is exactly a mismatch between the server and proxy versions.
      I advise you to ALWAYS use a proxy and a server of the same versions.
      You can read about the exceptions in the documentation.

              I thought that was the case, thank you.

              Proxy was running 6.4.5 and Server at 6.0.20

              I have downgraded the proxy to the exact same version as the server and now I don't see that error anymore.
