    Zabbix docker SNMP not running

    Hi,

I am new to Zabbix. So this is probbably a question that may have been answered before. I was searching but couldn't find anything.

I am running Zabbix in a docker (Ubuntu 22.04 / armv7). I installed zabbix-server-mysql, zabbix, zabbix-java-gateway and zabbix-web-nginx-mysql (all of them alpine-6.4-latest). MySQL is running natively on the same Ubuntu-machine.

I can add hosts, but they do not reply to SNMP (v3 in my case). snmp-credentials are ok, which I checked via snmpget from my Ubuntu-machine. It seems to me that I am missing something ...

    Best regards,
    Frank

ADD: not even SNMPv1 or SNMPv2c are running

Obviously the usage of SNMP doesn't work out-of-the-box like in other monitoring tools. The solution is to use a template like e.g. "Linux by SNMP" when configuring a host.
