The "zabbix server" hostgroup, does it have a function?

Does adding a host to the Zabbix Servers hostgroup have any implications? ChatGPT is saying that it implies that certain templates are applied to it or that special built in monitoring or notifications is applied to this host group. Is there any truth to that?

Host groups are logical/management grouping of hosts that does not add any actual monitoring. It exists to allow you easier filtering/management. Unless you have some automation that periodically scans host groups and assigns missing templates - it will not have any impact on actual monitoring.
It can have a user permissions implication depending if/how your user permissions setup/used tho

I found it handy when dealing with ChatGPT to just ask "Are you sure about 'part_of_his_answer_that_makes_you_suspicious'?". It often leads to him pinpointing on mistake and correcting himself.
