LDAP Media type mapping lost after reload

    Hello,

I wanted to transfer the mail addresses of the users to Zabbix via the Media type mapping, unfortunately this does not work. Whenever I enter the Media type mappingand save, then reload the page, the fields are empty again.

After setting up your e-mail attribute, be sure to click the update button on the LDAP settings and then click update button on the Authentication settings right after, or else the setting won't be saved.

      Hi,

I wanted to transfer the mail addresses of the users to Zabbix via the Media type mapping,
Not sure what you mean by this, can you elaborate ?

If it's a internal user you need to enable a media type under Alerts and then you can create a mapping so alerts will be send to that users mail address. The same for an LDAP user.
Alternitively you can create a media mapping in your LDAP connection by mapping the LDAP mail attribute. When a LDAP user logs on for the first time the media mapping of his email wil be automatically created.

      Regards

Actually I wanted to edit the post again, because I realized that I forgot some information; unfortunately I was not allowed to.

        Zabbix server version 7.0.11
It's about an LDAP connection and entering the mapping, where the behavior I described above shows up. So I enter a mapping in the LDAP settings, in this case “mail”, and as soon as I reload the page, the setting disappears.

After clicking Update the made settings are saved and when a AD user logs in it gets a mail media type.
Not sure what you mean by "...I reload the page" ,after clicking on Update ?

          Regards

OK I didn't do that, I didn't realize that I had to click several times. Thank you.
