    SF has been a good friend of us, but we should have a look at alternatives. Let's see how far it goes. Be absolutely confident that we won't allow any third party to modify our binaries.

      if you read comments and linked discussions, you'll see that it's not actually a sneaky installer - it has to be opted in by the authors of the project. sf only provides them an easy way to do that.
      so one should be blaming authors of those projects if they wish so, not sf. well, and that's only for windows installers ;>
