Is there a Need for Mobile App?

First time poster, long time troller. Anyway - wanted to ask this question - as it potentially affects how I move forward with a project I'm developing.

I plan to develop a mobile app for my zabbix monitoring duties/requirements. I primarily use iOS - but I have had tremendous luck doing cross-platform development tools as well.

I was wondering if there is a need in the community for an up-to-date zabbix mobile application? If so, can I get a few answers to some questions:

    - Do you use android, iOs or both most often?

    - What are the TOP 3 features you'd want (this will help me figure out - besides my own needs, what to focus on)

    - Would you be willing to pay for the app? (or get your employer too? And if so, how much do you think it would be worth? Only reason I ask is because there are costs involved with submitting to the app store - at least for apple)

    - Do you currently use an app? If so, do you see a need for an update?

I appreciate any of your time and input. Like I said, I plan to do this anyway for myself - but if I can't help out with the community while I'm at it - why not?!

Btw - attached is a pic to show what I was messing around with today - just kind of procrastinating until I decide to actually start planning out my development.

    Thanks!

I agree. Just switched from Android and was very surprised there were no good options. The only one I see hasn't been updated since 2013.

Hmm, me personally wouldn't see much need for a mobile device based app only for monitoring purposes. I need notification if something goes wrong on the road, which is covered by sms/email. Troubleshooting is done at the workstation...

To answer you questions (in the asked order):
        - both
        - notification, filtering of notifications, easily check on latest data for specific machine or service
        - yes
        - no, not using anything app-based for monitoring

        Keep the ideas flowing!

I think Pagerduty with Zabbix integration is perfect for this. It is not free, but very cheap.
