I had a situation when I wanted to be able to quickly understand being in frontend, in which Zabbix instance I am (we have Zabbix "test" instance and different one for production). Different URL for each instance is not so easy (quick) to notice, so I found it very nice solution to just change Zabbix logo colors. For that purpose, I have edited icon-sprite.svg file parts which are about two zabbix logos - I have inverted their colors (don't invert everything in this file - some small icons also have the same color hex codes as logos!). Of course you can be more creative and choose your own colors or add some additional "art" to your logo...
File icon-sprite.svg is located @ [path-to-your-zabbix-php]/img/icon-sprite.svg
The result is like:
