distributed monitoring : Node vs Proxy

my network setup is as follow :

4 networks in 4 different countries. eg, US, Asia/Hong Kong and Asia/Singapore

Currently using 4x zabbix servers; each for 1 network to acheive minimum latency for internal network polling.

Between node and proxy, which is a better setup for me ??

i do feel that proxy is c00L with centralised control, however what if eg. the network route between US (proxy server) and Hong Kong (main server) lags for 5 minutes, does it means my main server collects no data from US network for 5 minutes..may result false alarm (*no data trigger for example)

    Node or Proxy ???

The latest ZABBIX Manual contains a Proxy vs Node table. The manual will be available along with release of 1.5.2.
