Low-Level Discovery preprocessing questions

I am creating a Zabbix template to monitor a commercial software package.
I am using a lot of Low-Level Discovery (LLD) and it works.
However, some of the preprocessing rules seem redundant, so I am wondering if I am perhaps not using the most effective/efficient way... -

Missing OID SNMP LLD Discovery - Zabbix Cisco Access Point Template

Why are missing values in the OIDS discovery, apparently {#SNPINDEX} only takes the last values of the final OID. I am making a template for a cisco Access Point, additionally, I get letters instead of the IP.
