Shedule backup for Zabbix DB by cronJob

Hi,
I want to daily backup my Zabbix DB and archive weekly backups compressed to a different folder.

I tried by modifying crontab file at /etc.
For testing I want to trigger dump every 5 Minutes to location /home/appliance/iCAMbackup/day/
with day time stamps in the backup...

I am new to zabbix.I installed zabbix server monitoring zabbix agents. I want to use zabbix_sender to send data in a file to zabbix server and view graphs.The data in the file is the output of a cron job and will get updated automatically. Can anyone help me with the steps i need to follow...
