View key value pairs in the zabbix server frontend using zabbix_sender

Hi
I am new to zabbix.I installed zabbix server monitoring zabbix agents. I want to use zabbix_sender to send data in a file to zabbix server and view graphs.The data in the file is the output of a cron job and will get updated automatically. Can anyone help me with the steps i need to follow to achieve this and please mention the zabbix_sender command to move data from a file to zabbix server.
