Using Zabbix I can monitor my intranet websites very easily, but monitoring external websites I am having difficulties. I want to monitor just simple HTTP uptime.
For example : How do I monitor if HTTP is working on www.google.com ?

we want to monitor an application and related data in Zabbix(done via custom scripts). In some cases when data is inconsistent we want to offer the user a link, so he can jump directly from zabbix to a web application where he can fix the data. Of course this only works if the users is online...
