How to check to distinguish physical and virtual Windows Server?

I am looking for a solution to auto discover/distinguish physical and virtual Win servers then assign to different template/group. Is it possible?

I have physical and virtual servers in my environment and they have different antivirus application (running as Windows services). May I know how to auto discover them as physical or virtual then assign to different template?

I am having problem with deploying proper way on reporting on link status on physical interfaces and not sub interfaces. My goal is to alert ONLY on PHYSICAL interface status without getting further alerts from sub interfaces linked to it.
So, let's say, if eth0/0 goes...
