Upgrading to 7.0 - Database error in frontend, no errors in logs

I am running Zabbix using Docker compose. I am attempting to upgrade from Zabbix 6.0.5 to 7.0. After upgrading, I see this error in the front end.

    The Zabbix database version does not match current requirements. Your database version: 7000000. Required version:

I upgraded zabbix from jessie to buster debian version, and now I have a problem with zabbix email, when I test mail notification from zabbix I have this error :

Media type test failed.

• Failure when receiving data from the peer

I can sent mail using : curl smtp://smtp.example.com...

I am looking for some guidance and support on upgrading Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 with Zabbix version 4.2 installed.
This is in preparation to upgrade Zabbix 4.2 to 5.0

Looking at some posts, members have ran into problem when they did Ubuntu OS upgrade on exsisting Zabbix server....
