I am looking for some guidance and support on upgrading Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04 with Zabbix version 4.2 installed.
This is in preparation to upgrade Zabbix 4.2 to 5.0
Looking at some posts, members have ran into problem when they did Ubuntu OS upgrade on exsisting Zabbix server.
Example this post below

Has anyone done a UBuntu OS upgrade successfully with Zabbix Server installed?
What should be the upgrade path?
1. Backup Zabbix config and DB
2. Remove Zabbix repo
3. Update Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04
4. Upgrade Zabbix 4.2 to 5.0 within Ubuntu 18.04 repo?
OR
1. Backup Zabbix config and DB
2. Remove Zabbix repo
3. Update Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04
4. Install Zabbix 4.2 with Ubutu 18.04 repo.
Any other path suggested? Or which of the above paths are good and any issue that will be foreseen?
The Maria DB and MySQL version on the Ubuntu is not an issue currently.
