Can we denote employees better in the support system

Reading through support tickets sometimes it can be tricky to discern who does and does not work for Zabbix SIA unless you watch SVN and have been around for a while. Is there a way to denote people in the support system who are employees?

Not about Jira but concerning the forum,
is it too far fetched to see an upgrade to a Stack Overflow/Server Fault-ish feel in a year's time?

    That would be....
    well just awesome

      1. maybe not an "upgrade", but an additional system.
      2. most likely the software for that would be osqa - http://www.osqa.net/
      3. do you know anybody who could be willing and capable of setting up and maintaining osqa zabbix instance ?

When I'm reading through tickets and I see people commenting sometimes it's hard to figure out if the person commenting is a community member or a developer. Maybe I should rephrase my suggestion to be "can we denote the developers and QA staff?" Also slightly related, and maybe this is just me, but I'm probably more apt to trust something if I know it's being said by someone who is part of the development team, and with the latest expansions that's kinda hard to keep track of.

Give me about 3 weeks and I'll have a computer available which we can install it on and if all works out open it up to the public.

well, but then we shouldn't make contributors to the tracker sort of a lower class or somesuch. i mean, lately zalex_ua knows more about how some features are working than most

I've seen this topic before, wanted to write something, but did not know that. Once I remembered, so I have to write something : )

Although I do not understand some details, but I understand the essence of the thread.
I must say that I know by heart the names of all developers, I feel their subordination among themselves, who as an experienced and what subjects more engaged.
For example, Konstantin began to appear on the tracker for about 3 months ago, he took up a huge number of requests made them a lot, but that's now smaller, and the mistakes he began to do less
New developer Vladimir, felt that he was new, and that he is trying as Konstantin at start and see what makes mistakes. But that's okay - at first all make mistakes.
I even know two members of the support team: Maxim and Igor, where the tracker does not meet often, but I know it's employees. By the way, from the Maxim has long been unheard of.
This is IMHO, I do not like about anyone to say anything bad. Apologize in advance if I was wrong .
This is just proof, if you regularly work with the tracker, then all becomes clear, the developers immediately noticeable.

But I must say that I sometimes get confused because the names on the tracker and SVN repository, some developers are not related at all, but if you want - everything possible to calculate and remember

Ideas that were discussed here, I will be interested to see.

I take this opportunity to say that I had an idea on the forum to make a special titles such as "Active Community member" or similar. I would be happy to have such titles.

... and Nelsonab, just for case - my name on the tracker is Oleksiy Z.. . May be for you all will become clear?

there's a possibly different approach that might work - let's see that in more detail... tomorrw, i guess

I think the best part is I wanted a discussion about an idea to see how others felt and see if we can come to consensus and then go from there, and I'm very happy to see such a discussion is happening.

This was kind of the reason for my thought. Some people who don't spend time in the tracker may not notice this. But at the same time my idea may be moot. Perhaps another idea might be to have something that shows activity level based on number of comments or tickets owned/closed/opened or whatever. This would help give credence to the community members which Richlv rightly pointed out, or perhaps a hybrid. Say a character for employee, and then a color coded badge/character for activity level.

mmm, and you are completely right.
Look at the situation on the other hand - as you know, I'm quite active on the tracker, often commenting on not only self issues but other Reporters as well. Some may think that I am a developer, I hope you agree.
As you know, I make grammatical mistakes . So I would not want anybody to think that such illiterate "developers" works in Zabbix SIA
And maybe we can still find some very different and unique reasons.

                      Now I support you.

I do not know what features in a Jira, if it is possible would be nice to do something like title on the forum. If no - just to mark devs as Developers.

he-he, don't worry about me, with my pride everything is fine , let this thought you do not stop.
I repeat - the main goal to mark devs as Developers on the tracker.
