Download wizard already offers 6.0 download, but packages aren't available

The download tool on zabbix.com already offers 6.0 as an option, but later on when creating the download url it will still use 5.5 for creating the path.

Zabbix is being downloaded over 4 000 000 times every year for a reason. Download and install Zabbix for free and try it yourself!

6.0 is not yet released. it is in RC state (RC2 currently, IIRC) and it has always pointed to v5.5.. When it is released finally, it will be under 6.0.

I know it's not released yet, so I don't see the point of letting the user choose it in the beginning

It says "6.0 pre-release" there, not "6.0 LTS". What's wrong with offering it for testing?

It's wrong that the download links don't work

Have you considered, that its something on your side?? I don't see any problems using given links to download packages. As said... 5.5 is there on purpose, so people would not mix it up with official (future) release...

Thanks for the check, but my screen refers to 6.0, I was trying to install (and test) 6.0 via packages, since I was given the option on the downloads.

Anyway I don't want to grow this bigger than it is, it's not a big issue, to me at least. I just thought it was misleading to allow the selection for 6.0, when the generated url are then for 5.5. But, as you said, it's probably just a concern of mine. Nevermind, I'll wait for the final release.

You cannot test, what is not released... Your screen refers to "6.0 pre-release" ... And all links, no matter the version number, will give you exactly that... It is done on purpose. They have done it also previously... If you take a look here http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/ you can find several ones, which do not match official releases, 4.5 (pre-releases of 5.0), 5.1 (pre-releases of 5.2), 5.3 (pre-releases of 5.4)...
When official release comes, you will find links pointing to 6.0 repo. Its the way how they work...

So you can go on and test that 6.0 pre-release... I think, it is 99.x% what will be released...
