    Pfsense firewall

Any zabbix users/admins using PFsense as a firewall?

I'm trying to get the correct snmp data from the firewall to monitor the traffic for each interface, but the data seems to be incorrect.

Anybody using pfsense here and got the correct data? The template for pfsense in the wiki is not displaying the actual traffic either.

I've made the template found on the wiki, but I didn't check if the reported values were correct, as it isn't critical where we use it.

What data are you receiving and what are you supposed to receive?

Thanks for the quick reply, I've managed to find the correct data by showing all data output and compairing them to the pfsense output on the webgui.

So your template is fine Thanks allot!

I run pfsense off of a CF card on a thin client, i dont think i can install the client on the firewall. Will the template work without the client? If not, does anyone know how to install the client on an embedded device?

I installed the template and added the firewall as a host, but it says its unreachable.

          thanks for any help.

The template is meant for the SNMP interface pfSense provides, you have to activate it through the browser interface. So no, it doesn't require an agent installed on the server.
