    Event generation on Acknowledge ?

Is it possible to generate an event when a trigger gets acknowledged? So i can send out sms when someone is working on a problem.

    regards

Not quite what you want, but you may consider using escalations. Just setup a new operation, which will be executed only in case if an event is already acknowledged.

        Hi,

In 'Config -> Actions -> Create New Action' ... if you check 'Enable Escalations' box a new condition appears/rise in 'Operation' options .... this condition will be 'Event Acknoledge' YES or NOT.

I have escalations setup so that every hour zabbix sends another email to let us know that the problem still exists. I have it setup to stop sending emails once the problem is acknowledged. What I can't get it to do is send an email once the problem is acknowledged. Do you know how I can add that functionality using the escalation. I haven't been able to figure that out yet.

I'm a little bit confused about your doubt ...

But if you want stop a ESCALATION when a EVENT have a ACKNOLEDGE this screen can help to discover how:

I have it set to send an email every hour as long as the problem is NOT acknowledged. If it gets acknowledged it stops sending emails. My question is how do i add an action to have it send a final email when it is ack'd? I can't see to get that to work.

Hmmm .... maybe if you create a new/other action only to match if the event have a acknowledged ?

I mean you will have two ACTIONS ... one with all escalations that will stop if event have a acknowledge ... other that only will be active if event have a acknowledge.

I'm trying that right now. It does not appear to work.

Have you figured this out yet? It is very unclear how to set this up and should be standard on system monitoring actions.
